Stop Your Cryin

Here comes the moment we’ve all been anticipating for the last four years, and the really good news is that the return of the mighty Spiritualized is one to relish. Jason Pierce sings “nothing hurts you like the pain of someone you love” in his best strung out drawl, as a thirty piece orchestra and choir sweep the chorus off to a bug-eyed land all of its own.

‘Stop Your Cryin’ is a classic orchestral pop song, recalling an age of Scott Walker and Duke Ellington, when pop music really meant something. Hallelujah.
