I Have Seen
As lush as a James Bond theme tune, as sweeping as an orchestra in a brush factory, as rich as Hugh Hefner’s lawyers and as comfortable as an old shoe, the latest release from Zero 7 is a big, bruised masterpiece.
As lush as a James Bond theme tune, as sweeping as an orchestra in a brush factory, as rich as Hugh Hefner’s lawyers and as comfortable as an old shoe, the latest release from Zero 7 is a big, bruised masterpiece. The pace may be stately, but the emotion comes thick and fast, delectably delivered from the tonsils of the wonderfully monikered Mozez. His voice isn’t so much concerned with parting waters, preferring instead to set each and every syllable soaring towards the heavens, some with a deep baritone and others a light-as-air falsetto, while Henry Binns and Sam Harkaker supply the musical dramatics. Smooth, sweet, soulful and cinematic, ‘I Have Seen’ is the sound of an epic soap opera in widescreen.
