Bang
The Moldy Peaches tracks are pretty much the sound of two naughty seven-year-olds messing with guitars, cutting and pasting rude words into cute nonsensical songs. That’s why they’re great. The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, are mentioned in dispatches in the same breath as the Peaches and the White Stripes, as the latest wave of the U.S. garage rock invasion. With less of the childish charm, they have an altogether dirtier, more experienced attitude. I like their style, but most of the songs are a bit too self-regardingly art-rock to really get under the skin.
