The results of the last Tisch competition, where Irish artists get their video made courtesy of talented students from the Tisch School Of Arts, New York University, are in.
Among the acts chosen are highly rated, award winning new outfits like National Student Music Award winners Delorentos, The Flaws (recently signed to Universal Music), Murphy's Live winners Lotus Lullaby, The Guggenheim Grotto and Porn Trauma.
The acclaimed singer songwriter Juliet Turner, who has a number of platinum albums to her credit, was also chosen to participate in a special group project.
The videos were made with the help of Hot Press magazine and the Tisch School of the Arts, at New York University, who together launched a talent search to find the artists and bands most deserving of the video treatment. "The quality of the videos has been brilliant so far," Niall Stokes, editor of Hot Press commented. "It's a great boost for the bands and artists to be given the opportunity to showcase their talent in this way. A number of the videos made by the students have been broadcast on television channels in Ireland and abroad that's as good a measure of the success of the collaboration as we could ask for."
"We're really excited about the screening," said Susanne Bach of Tisch School of the Arts. "The college has been a hotbed of activity over the last couple of months, but it has all come together really well. I can confidently say that some of the best work we've seen yet from the students will be unveiled on the night."
This round of filming resulted in the biggest number of music videos ever made by the students. Here, in full, are the seventeen acts chosen:
