One of Germany’s most prominent names in EDM, trance DJ and producer Alex M.O.R.P.H, is coming to Drogheda! He’s all geared up to play Joy Fest. With the recent release of sophomore album Prime Mover, it looks like that’s exactly what you’re gonna be doing on the night! The new album holds 17 new M.O.R.P.H. originals, all promising to bring the same buzz as his debutPurple Audio, which delivered hit singles such as ‘Walk The Edge’, ‘An Angel’s Love’, ‘Turn It On’, and ‘Sunset Boulevard’. M.O.R.P.H. has been on the scene over 15 years, clocking up remixes for Faithless, A.T.B., Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz and Aly and Fila and others.
In Belfast Twitch parties have been running steadily for the last six years, welcoming guests such as Joy Oribison, Cosmin, T.R.G., Ben Klock and Function. Playing in an array of venues over the years, you can find Twitch hosting big name DJs at Queens Bar, along with parties at The Hudson and Nite Jams.
In Dublin, Electric Ballroom has Hamburg’s Lovebirds, aka Sebastian Doering, incoming. His current crossover deep house soul album, Want You In My Soul, has landed all over the charts and features none other than Dublin’s Stee Downes!
He’s also working on a new electronic pop album with a vocalist from Tokyo, is involved in a slew of rewarding collaborations with the likes of Ben Westbeech, Holly Backler and Lisa Shaw and produces under the name Kneedeep.
Speaking to She’s Electric about his new album, Lovebirds says: “I’m pretty excited. There’s a few tracks on it that were around in some mixes I did way back. People have been asking me about them constantly, so watch out!”
Representing the Derry scene is producer Amo. He’s stepping out with a new live show, promising “amazing visuals, live drums, and infectious music”. The set will contain tracks co–produced with the likes of Dimitri Tikovoi from Placebo, Andy Savours aka Mr. Hudson, and Dave Etherington. Amo has furthermore collaborated with John O’Callaghan, Lost Witness, DJ Mog and has an upcoming release with Adam Zindani of The Stereophonics in the pipeline.
