Sophia's Verbals

There was a sense of privilege among the guests at the HTC one Hot Press Most Personal Experience with Royseven last Wednesday. Each guest was greeted on entering the venue and offered drinks of their choice. Without any length of time passing, I noticed the crowd relax, mingle and a subtle foot-tap emerged. It was Royseven’s Paul Walsh who transformed this subtle foot-tap into the full-flow movement of both hands and feet. Shadows jumped and danced across the brick walls of Dame Lane.

Quality music is always a pleasure to listen to live but there was another aspect to this gig that made it a truly magical experience. This was the interaction between the crowd and the band. It’s a rare opportunity for most of us to experience an up close and personal performance by such talented musicians and for a well-acclaimed band to have such an intimate setting also. It was this environment that made my task of photographing and visually documenting the event a pleasure and a truly memorable experience.
