Royseven, the band who charmed Irish radio listeners to the air-time top spot in 2011 with their melodic and infectious ‘We Should Be Lovers’ played a one-time intimate performance at the HTC One Hot Press Most Personal Experience in the luxurious lounge venue of 4 Dame Lane on a Wednesday night in May.
Seasoned purveyors of catchy pop-rock, this Dublin band unveiled a rock 'n' roll edge, over and above the easy-listening qualities of their finely honed radio-edits, with a gripping performance from front man Paul Walsh revealing a darker edge to his unrelenting energy while managing to remain polished and endearing. This was coupled with a charismatic lead guitarist reveling in the enthusiasm of a captivated audience with blistering step-off-the-stage solos, alongside driving rhythm, drums and keys. All in all it was a full-bodied musical experience.
