Another name of note on the Norths flourishing
indie scene, Go Wolf are a Belfast trio that proudly
advertise themselves on Facebook as POP MUSIC,
all caps. Unabashed in their early Talking Heads
note-taking, their material to date incorporates
funk, disco and electro to fine effect. Having started
when Scott Jamison and Chris Sloan met at a
poetry night in a barber shop, joined forces and
decided to add a drummer, they look (and sound)
right together. Debut single ‘Voices’ features the
whispered tones of Hannah McPhillimy, resulting in
a song that comes over like The xx lent some extra
bounce and brightness. It went on to appear on
the annual Kitsuné Maison compilation, which has
previously featured such artists as Foals, Bloc Party
and Two Door Cinema Club.
