Leeside electronic producer Eoghan Reid launched his solo project a little quicker than most, playing his first ever live show at Electric Picnic 2011. Since then, he's released an EP (the deliciously cryptic Genesis), a double single (the hard-hitting 'Diptera'/Fall'), returned to Electric Picnic for a field-filling victory lap and played a dozen more festivals including Forbidden Fruit, Castlepalooza, Indiependence and the Guinness Cork Jazz festival. For his next trick, he rustled up party-starting remixes of tracks by Twin Sister, Owensie, Come On Live Long, Kool Thing and Giraffage & XXYYXX, the latter of which is a woozy sampling masterclass that comes assertively recommended by yours truly. 2012 also brought a blissed-out trance gem called 'Miami', which foretells very good things for this highly-skilled button-presser's forthcoming debut album.
