BLEEDING HEART PIGEONS
A pleasantly unexpected hit from last year's Other Voices sessions, the three Limerick teens behind Bleeding Heart Pigeons all but stole the show in Dingle last year with a dreamily-imagined mix of old and new. Mícheál Keating, Brendan McInerney and Cathal Histon have been performing together for five years but the Shannonside alt. rock trio have just begun to draw attention to themselves, thanks to a change of name and a collection of intriguing titles like 'Visiting Myself In Hospital' and 'Angela You Never Ate The Cereal I Poured Out For You'. The key number in their repertoire boasts another name you won't forget; sweet, melancholic and chock full of Floyd-esque psychedelia, 'In The Forest, I Feel Bizarrely More At Home' is one of the loveliest tracks you'll hear on this or any other island.
