MCD, An Garda Síochána, HSE and venues constantly review security, safety and medical arrangements ahead of every major event.
Following extensive consultation, An Garda Síochána undertake a number of security and safety ‘Risk Assessments’ to determine the appropriate level of Gardai required (including any specialist units) and to ensure sufficient stewarding and security staff are deployed.
These ‘Risk Assessments’ are constantly reviewed based on Garda intelligence and working closely with security and law enforcement partners in the UK and internationally to share and assess any relevant intelligence.
An Garda Síochána have confirmed that the threat level in this jurisdiction remains unchanged.
An Garda Síochána are fully supported by event security/stewards provided by licensed security companies, together with a full complement of medical staff. The Event Control Management Team who oversee MCD events have over 25 years individual experience within their fields of expertise.
As is always the case, we request all patrons to be vigilant and to report anything suspicious to An Garda Síochána and/or our event staff.
We instruct all fans attending events to fully inform themselves of the Public Information Notice (in particular the Do and Do Not lists) published in advance on:
www.garda.ie
www.mcd.ie
www.ticketmaster.ie
Patrons attending events should use public transport and allow plenty of additional time for travel and traffic delays, searches and extra security measures at venues. Do not bring rucksacks or large hand bags as per Public Information Notices.
Please co-operate fully with Gardaí and stewards and follow any loudspeaker announcements, this will help ensure the safety and enjoyment for all concerned and we thank you for your continued co-operation.
