The €16 million expansion is scheduled for next year.
The #1 Dublin tourist attraction is making plans to expand their popular Gravity bar to accommodate even more visitors. The €16 million expansion will double the size of the bar, holding up to 500 people and featuring the 360 degree view of Dublin.
In addition to the Gravity bar, a new facilities building will be built adjacent to the storehouse in order to provide more space for the Guinness Archives.
As of now, construction will hopefully start next year and wrap up by 2019, but Guinness will remain open throughout.

CEO of Fáilte Ireland, Paul Kelly approved of the expansion, saying, “This is a very exciting development for tourism in Dublin and a great vote of confidence in the future of the tourism sector from the Storehouse and Diageo….The Guinness Storehouse is one of Ireland’s leading attractions and an iconic destination which almost everybody who comes to Dublin will seek out and I very much welcome today’s development - it’s great for tourism and it’s great for Dublin.”
