Schumer could be the new star of comedian and musician Steve Martin’s new play Meteor Shower
Amy Schumer is in talks to lead Steve Martin’s latest Broadway show, Meteor Shower. Martin seemed to confirm the rumor in a recent tweet, in which he simply replied “Oh yeah” to an article about Schumer’s potential participation.

The play is set in 1993 California and centers around two couples at a meteor shower. Schumer is likely to play Corky, an oddball wife with a bit of an interest in cannibalism. She and her husband, Norm, invite sexually aggressive couple Laura and Greg over to watch the cosmic wonder, but find they are in store for a much more exciting night than anticipated.
Laura is rumored to be being played by Broadway star Laura Benanti who has most recently been making her mark on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert as Melania Trump.
