going to get near an olympic medal?
obviously poor analise murphy got ridiculously close but there doesn't seem to be any other genuine contenders.

Cian o'Connor is suddenly looking very good. Be interesting to see the reaction if he were to win a medal...

Fuck, I thought he was out of the hunt! Looks like The fighting Irish will be the story all the same...

Won bronze. Can't say I'm that happy for him but it's good for Ireland I guess.

I remember doing a sociology project on the reaction to his elimination last time around... let's just say a certain godfather used his biggest selling rag of a paper to portray him in the best possible light... giant two-page spread complete with pics of Cian looking grand and proud

You mean Cian O'Connor won a bronze this afternoon? Fair play to him, I say, even though I know nothing whatsoever about horses!

A mate of mine who is studying in London was working in the Olympic village as a volunteer and he said that during the final week he reckons he cleaned up a full bin bag of used condoms. I reckon it's worth training to be an Olympian just to go to the epic post-event sex explosion sessions.

The next one is only 4 years away. Go for it, dharrison. We'll support you all the way!
