Indeed! Fair play to them. I wasn't bothered who won either way but I don't mind that Chelsea won, especially if it annoys ManU fans. I was glad to see Neuer score his penalty (I love when goalies score goals) but wanted Schweinsteiger to score his 'cos I'm a big fan.

And fair play to Drogba. When he's not diving, he's an amazing player, with both skill and strength.

Have to say that Bayern were mugged! Without ever playing their best, they should have had it won three times over. They should never have conceded the Drogba header so easily. Plus, of course, Robben missing the penalty was disastrous.

What was the corner count? 20-1 or something like that. But Bayern's delivery was very poor and Chelsea are, at least, a team of big strong fuckers. You could, I guess, put it down as a triumph for resolute defence, which has to bring a bit of cheer to centre-halves the world over!

Now can Ireland work the same trick at the Euros?!?

They were a bit lucky but bayern have only themselves to blame with poor finishing and the decision to take muller off with a few minutes to go for a defender only a goal up and with extra time a possibility.

Looked like they had a goal wrongly called offside too.

Like Man City they were going to lift their dream prize sooner or later with so much money around, the surprising thing with Chelsea is that they won the Champions League with one of their weakest sides of the decade against a team with home advantage.

Great goal by Drogb and cech has recaptured the form that made him one of the best keepers in the world.

I don't think the 'goal' was on-side, but I agree with everything else you both said.

It was a very tight call on the offside. I'm not sure about it either way. Bayern needed to vary the corner routines much more that they did, in order to create uncertainty in the Chelsea defence.

Bayern had a few chances to win that.
I actually backed Gomez to score first. Seems like he was trying everything but.

good player but not a great player, gom'z.

the maneger must be kickin' himsrlf for substitutin' thomas muller.

i think that match ensured Klose will be no1 for Euro 2012

Klose - but no cigar for Gomez, eh?
