Michelle Mulherin: Fornication
Don't you just love it when Mayo women talk dirty.

....
In all seriousness can anyone acutally follow WHAT IN THE NAME OF JESUS SHE'S TALKING ABOUT
she's saying. I don't like abortion at all. But we have to do something. Something about scriptures and greed and then FORNICATION is the cause of unwanted pregnancies,

WHAT PLANET IS THIS WOMEN ON?

It's just a phase I'm going through. Reading a lot these days and can't do both at once.

What? Drink and read? It's difficult alright - but just for those few seconds when your nose is in the pint glass...

I was impressed with her capacity to get an enormous amount of airtime by talking about sex.
less impressed with her suggestion that you shouldn't necessarily have it.

(i don't know what yer mean are talking about the beatles etc for)

Fair enough on the reading front.

Revolver gets a mention in the latest episode of Mad Men, Don switches off Tomorrow Never Knows (I tend to skip that one too!)
 From : evil_giraffe Posted : 08/05/12 at 12:36
Tomorrow Never knows would probably be in my top five Beatles songs.

Right....top five Beatles songs...in order....and you're not allowed honourable mentions.

1....2....3....go.

Too hard....gave up.

1. In My Life
2. A Day In The Life
3. Across The Universe
4. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
5. Something (Sinatra called it 'the greatest love song ever written' and he was right)
 From : hydra Posted : 08/05/12 at 13:27
Anyone else think some of the songs on the I Am Sam soundtrack are better than the original?
 From : evil_giraffe Posted : 08/05/12 at 13:27
I had all your top three and the same number one.
 From : hydra Posted : 08/05/12 at 13:38
I'm guessing you had Two of Us in there too. Nearly made mine. I love the version of that from I Am Sam
 From : skennedy Posted : 08/05/12 at 13:46
Hydra, surely 'Strawberry Fields' has to be in the Top 5. And 'I Am The Walrus' too.

A Beatles Top 5 is always a tough call. Pretty much impossible.
 From : number10 Posted : 08/05/12 at 14:43
Strawberry Fields Forever – definitely has to be in any Beatles top 5..
 From : evil_giraffe Posted : 08/05/12 at 15:12
5. Norwegian wood (This Bird Has Flown)
4. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
3. Tomorrow Never Knows
2. Across The Universe
1. In My Life

….no wait….that’s not it.

Skennedy, 10, stop wrecking the abortion thread, Make a list.
 From : hydra Posted : 08/05/12 at 15:26
Evil - I was sure you'd have Two of Us, you love that song.

SK/10 - fair point, still thing Something deserves its spot instead of it.

I Am The Walrus is fun gibberish but I don't think it's their best work.
 From : hydra Posted : 08/05/12 at 15:35
AMC, who make Mad Men, apparently paid 250 grand to use Tomorrow Never Knows.
 From : evil_giraffe Posted : 08/05/12 at 15:43
Is that a lot?

Need context.

How much did journey get for The Sopranos?

Will it lead to a rise in Itunes downloads?

McCartney bought all those rights back didn't he?
 From : hydra Posted : 08/05/12 at 17:36
According to this, songs normally come in at under 100 grand
 From : number10 Posted : 09/05/12 at 11:17
Nice work if you can get it...
