March show promises to be a spectacular
Fresh from a barnstorming performance as part of last night's Freezer Sessions gig, the funk merchants of the Booka Brass Band are setting their sights on Vicar Street.
The Dublin-based collective churn out a brand of New Orleans-style music that you won't believe comes from these shores. The chosen support of no less a star than James Vincent McMorrow, the band have rocked Longitude and Electric Picnic, as well as turning out a show-stopping headline performance at The Button Factory in October.
This, though, promises to be the biggest and best gig of their burgeoning careers; March 27 is the date, and tickets are priced at €19. And - spoiler alert - more than a few of HP's buddies will wake to find their stockings stuffed with tickets on Christmas morning...
