In the edition of Hot Press dated 17 October 2007 (Volume 31, No.20) Hot Press published an article under the headline "John Clarke dismisses Sunday Times article". In it John Clarke of 2FM was quoted as saying that quotes, attributed to him from an article in Billboard by the Sunday Times reporter Jan Battles, were "a lie".
