Those most superstar of DJs David Guetta and Calvin Harris top the bill for Oxegen, which hits Punchestown over the August Bank Holiday.
Arguably the biggest EDM act on the planet, Guetta has just completed a run of British dates with Rihanna and before his Irish headliner will be visiting Dubai, Turkey, Thailand, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, Harris this week became the first artist to score eight UK top 10 hits from the one album, that being the star-studded 18 Months.
As expected, it’s going to be a dance music fan’s paradise with Chase & Status, Example, Snoop Lion (AKA Dogg), Alesso, Labrinth, Rita Ora, Pitbull, DJ Fresh, Soulwax, Nero, Rizzle Kicks, Nicky Romero and Sasha among the other heavy-hitters.
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Iggy Azalea, Otto Knows, The Original Rudeboys, Duke Dumont, Erol Alkan, Crookers, Jack Beats, Fake Blood, Congorock, Jacob Plant, Gin ‘N’ Juice, The Dead Prezidents, Al Gibbs, George Fitzgerald, Dave DeValera, John Gibbons, Borgore, Monsta, Ayah Marrar and Danny Byrd complete what is a very impressive and eclectic opening salvo. It’s a strictly over-18s affairs with Garda ID required.
Early Bird tickets priced €129.50 (non-camping) and €149.50 (camping) – a €75 discount on 2011 prices – go on sale on Friday April 26, but you’ll have to book before 8am the next day to avail.
