The 140 character-forming interview...
@hotpress So Bill, you recorded the new album in your bedroom?
@BRyderJones It wasn’t the first time I’d done it, I’ve established it in my head as a very lo-fi studio.
@hotpress How were the neighbours?
@BRyderJones Fine, not arsed at all! They grew up with me. They were there when I was learning Oasis tunes with my Marshall amp at 16.
@hotpress Part of the reason you left The Coral was because playing live was daunting. How do you feel going back to it?
@BRyderJones It’s calmed down for me. But I’m never going to do extensive touring, I’m not going to be trying to break America obviously!
@hotpress Not going the Tom Jones route, performing in big Vegas rooms?
@BRyderJones Fuck that! I’ll play Europe a bit. It’s an album, it’s not fucking ‘Sex On Fire’. It doesn’t have to be played in stadiums.

@hotpress Did you get a truckload of free runners for playing guitar on Graham Coxon’s Converse track?
@BRyderJones No sadly I think I burnt my bridges with Converse by telling one of their head execs that I thought they were all a shower of cunts!
@hotpress The Coral’s debut album turned 10 last year...
@BRyderJones A decade man! I was at my peak then, I remember feeling fucking awesome. Like a super hero. 10 years on and I’ve got grey hair!
A Bad Wind Blows In My Heart is out now on Domino records.
