Work
Work’ is the crump-friendly first single from The New Classic, the forthcoming debut album by alabaster-skinned, blonde pony-tailed, ghetto-bootied Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. Hers is a particularly nasty brand of pop-rap-electro crossover. With our snarling hostess chanting, “No money/No family/16 in the middle of Miami” in a deep Atlanta drawl (she’s lived in the States for six of her 22 years), this rags-to-riches story falls somewhere between vapid bravado and inspirational gold: ferocious, attention-seeking and addictive as hell.
