A new stage adaption of The Ladykillers by Graham Linehan is coming to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in 2013.
Graham Linehan’s adaptation of the classic Ealing comedy is coming to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin in 2013. Graham Linehan is best known for being the writer behind TV comedies Father Ted and The I.T. Crowd.
The Ladykillers tells the story of the eccentric little old lady Mrs Wilberforce who lives alone with her parrot in a strange lopsided house in King’s Cross. Her life is turned upside down by the arrival of Professor Marcus and his four friends, who between them make up the most unlikely group of criminals. Planning the heist of a security van, they decide to use Mrs Wilberforce as cover and involve her unwittingly in the plot. Things do not go well and the Professor’s plan starts to unravel in spectacular and hilarious fashion.
Cliff Parisi (Minty from Eastenders) joins the 2013 cast of as Louis, taking over the role from Shaun Williamson. The rest of the current cast will return for 2013 including Michele Dotrice, Clive Mantle, Paul Bown, William Troughton and Chris McCalphy.
The show is to run from Tuesday, February 26th to Saturday, March 2nd 2013. Tickets for the show are priced from €20 and are on sale through Ticketmaster now.
In other Graham Linehan related news: the writer is to feature on a charity CD titled Oscar the hypo-dog and other tails.... The project is the brain-child of Cathy Davey and Neil Hannon, and they've asked a bunch of their musical friends to record doggie themed songs. All proceeds will go to the Dogs In Distress charity.

Graham joins Lisa Hannigan for 'I Don't Know What We're Fighting For' on the album which also features songs by Cathy davey, Harry Haller and the Hooligans, Villagers, Lisa O'Neill, Samuel Arnold, The Divine Comedy, David Turpin, Rhob Cunningham, David O'Doherty, RSAG, Karrie O'Sullivan, Sharon Shannon and David Gray.
You can get your 'paws' on the CD from Friday December 7th when it hits stores nationwide. It will also be available to download on iTunes.
