He'll be present at a Bartley Dunne's reunion on December 28.
Dublin’s (in)famous rock ‘n’ roll pub, Bartley Dunne’s, holds one of its biggest reunion nights yet on December 28 when Peter Hook DJs at Break For The Border in Dublin. Tickets are €15 and Joy Division and New Order tunes will be included.
Hooky was in great form this week when Hot Press met him at the decidedly un-rock ‘n’ roll hour of 9.30am for a chat about his new book Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division.
A commendably even-handed tome – “I might hate the bastards for carrying on as New Order without me, but I’m not going to use something as important as Joy Division to score cheap retaliatory points,” Hooky told us over scrambled eggs – it’s a worthy successor to 2009’s equally must-read The Hacienda: How Not To Run A Club.
