The highly-rated young Wicklow-based outfit, have unveiled their official debut release.
The Hello World EP opens with the dramatic 'Skin' – the first in a set of five original songs written and composed by guitarist Max Matthews.
Children Of The Son comprise brothers Max Matthews (lead guitar, keyboards and backing vocals), Jack Matthews (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) and Art Matthews (bass and backing vocals), with Konrad Sheane (drums and percussion) completing the line-up. The full track listing reads: 'Skin', 'Patience', 'The Muse', 'Unbreakable' and 'Dancing In The Dark' (not the Bruce Springsteen song of the same title).
"I can't wait now for it to be out there," Max Matthews told Hot Press, "just to get a reaction and see what people think of it."

The sleeve features a photo taken a couple of months ago of singer Jack – whose big voice belies that fact that he is still just 14 years of age. The pic – reminiscent of both the sleeve of U2's Boy and the iconographic shot of Jim Morrison used on the cover of the Jerry Hopkins/Danny Sugerman biography, No One Gets Out Of Here Alive – was taken by Wicklow-based photographer Beatrix.
The EP was recorded and mixed by Shane Cullen, at K9 Studios. The band are due to support Deaf Havana in the Speakeasy, Belfast (April 14) and the Academy 2 (15), with a further Academy 2 date - supporting All The Young (27). In the meantime, they headline at The Mezz, Dublin on Saturday April 21.
