'Can't Stop The Rain' is currently at No. 29
Martin Clancy, formerly of Irish folk rockers In Tua Nua, has been riding high on the US dance scene of late. Now the Dublin-born, New York-based musician is climbing the Billboard charts with his latest release.
'Can't Stop The Rain' by Martin Clancy and the Witness Protection Programme has been garnering much attention in clubs across the states, reflected in its position at No. 29 on the US Dance Top 40.
It entered at No. 34 last week with a bullet, signaling its fast-rising status, and looks set to climb even higher. The fact it has been remixed by such DJs as RIchard Morel and Chris Cox is doing it no harm either.
It follows on from the similar success he achieved with last year's 'Flat Foot', which hung around the Dance Top 40 for nine weeks.

The Irish indie producer/artist represented Ireland at Filter Magazine's Culture Collide festival in L.A. at which fellow contenders included the Klaxons and the Casio Kids. He was then signed to Montreal's Touring Dept. Agency, and currently holds the position of Artist in Residence at New York's Seapoint Music Festival.
