Legendary DJ makes headline debut in the city on May 14
Considered by many to be the greatest DJ in history, Paul Oakenfold's impressive resume over the last 20 years includes touring with Madonna, remixing some of the best groups of all time (U2, Radiohead, The Stone Roses, Massive Attack etc.), soundtracking countless movies and creating that iconic Big Brother theme tune while also producing several worldwide hits in his own right but his dance-scene credentials don't seem to be abating anytime soon. Oakenfold will play the Transmission2 night at Queens University in Belfast on Saturday May 14 with tickets going onsale on Friday April 8th from [link]www.shine.net[/link], The Kitten Bar, Queens University SU and Ticketmaster Outlets nationwide, priced at £16 for students or £18 otherwise. The London-born knob twiddler is also scheduled to make an appearance at the Wright Venue, Swords on Easter Sunday April 24, with tickets going for €20 a pop. Oakenfold will release his third solo album this coming Spring with a diverse list of vocalists including Cee-Lo, Ryan Tedder and Luke Goss confirmed to appear on it.
With the slightly glorious day that's in it, let's remeber this Oakenfold gem from 2002 shall we?
