Dubliners Imelda May and The Script are at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively
R&B singer Rihanna has held onto the top spot of the Irish album chart once again, with latest album Loud.
Take That have dropped from No. 2 to No. 4 with Progress - meaning that the second and third spots are now occupied by some fine homegrown talent! Rockabilly singer Imelda May is at No. 2 with Mayhem, while R&B/pop sensations The Script are at No. 3 with second album Science and Faith.
Meanwhile, in the Indie chart, Adele has climbed to the top spot with her debut 19, which features her famous 'To Make You Feel My Love' cover. Two Door Cinema Club and Villagers are in the second and third spots respectively with Tourist History and Becoming A Jackal, while the only new entry comes in the form of British Sea Power's Valhalla Dancehall. (Read an interview with the band in the new issue of Hot Press (Brian O'Driscoll cover), out now.
