The Jolly Boys announce two Irish shows
They'll play Cork and Dublin in December
Following their fantastic show at this year's Electric Picnic, veteran Mento greats The Jolly Boys will play two Irish dates this December. The group, who are famously remembered as the house band of the Trident Hotel in the 1950s, will play The Pavillion in Cork on December 11, and The Button Factory in Dublin on December 12.
Now signed to the same label as Grace Jones and The Human League, they released their new album Great Expectation this September. Good going for a group well into their sixties and seventies.
Tickets cost €17 (inc. booking fee) and go on sale Friday October 22. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster, City Discs, and usual outlets. www.ticketmaster.ie
