For a limited period of time, the company is turning their trademark dog Nipper into a howling wolf
Over the past five years, The Twilight series has captured millions of readers and movie-goers with four books and two movies that have earned billions at the global box office.
On Friday 19th March, the second movie in the series, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, is released on DVD/Blu-ray. To entice Twilight fans, entertainment retail specialist HMV has teamed with film company E1 Entertainment to transform its classic logo. Typically it shows Nipper the dog looking into a gramophone, but to celebrate the Twilight craze, Nipper will appear as a wolf howling at a rising moon. The movie prominently features a werewolf tribe.
The century-old logo has only been changed once before (in 2007, when Gromit of the animated series Wallace and Gromit briefly replaced Nipper during a children's DVD promotion) and the change reflects the buying power Twilight fans tend to have.

HMV Head of DVD Rudy Osorio says, "There's no escaping the popularity of The Twilight Saga so we thought we should turn to Nipper- our very own canine icon, to communicate our fantastic DVD and Blu-ray offer on this film in a way that only HMV can."
The movie is the second film based on Stephanie Meyer's four novels and it topped the Irish and UK box office in December 2009, taking in over €26 million.
