Dublin gig to be broadcast in Gaza
Liam O Maonlai, Kila and MC Lowkey are all on the bill.
“One concert, two cities” is the clarion call on October 16 when an eclectic mix of musicians come together in the Tripod for a gig that’s being broadcast live to an audience in Gaza City.
Organised by celebrated Irish documentary maker Dearbhla Glynn who reported from Gaza for Hot Press earlier this year, the line-up includes Liam O Maonlai, Lumiere, Kila, Naisrin, Zahara El Safty, Shadia Mansour, MC Lowkey and the Discovery Gospel Choir.
All proceeds will go towards rebuilding the infrastructure of the Gaza Strip, which was badly damaged by the latest Israeli bombardment.
Doors open at 7pm, with tickets €15.
