Oneida announce Irish tour
The veteran Brooklyn outfit play Cork, Belfast & Dublin.
Cult Brooklyn outfit Oneida tread Irish soil for the first time in August when they play Crane Lane, Cork (August 20); Black Box, Belfast (21); and Whelan’s, Dublin (22).
They’ll be plugging their new Rated O triple album, which – here’s where it gets complicated – is part two of their Thank Your Parents trilogy.
Currently comprising Kid Millions, Bobby Matador, Hanoi Jane and Ex Models’ Shahin Motia, the band first came on to the Hot Press radar in 1999 when we drunk bootleg absinthe with them in Williamsburg (it’s a very long story!)
Despite being allied for a while to Rough Trade, their glorious garage/psychedelic/Krautrock noise has yet to reach a mass audience, but that could be about to change!
