Silver Apples to play Whelan's
After wowing the crowds at last year's Electric Picnic, they're back for more
Silver Apples have announced that they will be playing Whelan's on September 12.
It is a rarity for the New York electronic pioneers to play gigs so to have them play here twice within the year is quite the achievement.
It is said that they are one of the first bands to have mixed electronica with rock music, paving the way for the likes of Kraftwerk and New Order.
