Placebo confirm Irish concert date
The trio will be coming to Dublin this Christmas
Placebo have announced that they will be coming to The Olympia Theatre on December 15.
They are playing a selection of European festivals over the summer to promote their new album "Battle For The Sun" which is released on June 12.
Brian Molko describes the album as "not hard rock and it's not pop, it's probably hard pop. I think we've made a record which is almost the flipside of "Meds". We've made a record about choosing life, about choosing to live, about stepping out of the darkness and into the light. Not necessarily turning your back on the darkness because it's there, it's essential; it's a part of who you are, but more about the choice of standing in the sunlight instead".
Right so, Brian.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 29) at 9am and cost €44.20
