FM104 to release cover album for charity
Christmas means but one thing – the release of the latest FM104 Strawberry Alarm Clock album.
In the shops now, Bestest Bits features 14 unplugged covers that were exclusively recorded for the station’s flagship breakfast show. These include: Aslan ‘All I Want Is You’, The Blizzards ‘Black And Gold’, Tom Baxter ‘Back To Black’, The Coronas ‘Hello’, Republic Of Loose ‘Electric Feel’, Director/Cathy Davey ‘Where The Wild Roses Grow’, Declan O’Rourke ‘Mercy’, Dave Browne ‘I Love It When You Call’, Ham Sandwich ‘Piece Of Me’, Ruth Anne ‘American Boy’/‘Kiss’, Colm Lynch ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’, Owen Brady ‘Light My Fire’, Boyzone ‘Father & Son’ and Shayne Ward ‘What About Me?’
As usual, proceeds from the 2CD package – which also includes 11 comedy sketches – go to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.
Also hitting the tacks this week is MT USA 2, a second, 54-track tribute to Fab Vinny Hanley and the RTE video show that made Sundays worth living for back in the ‘80s.
