Conway Savage set for Irish tour and back catalogue release
Nick Cave’s piano man Conway Savage pays a solo visit to Ireland for a 6-date tour this October.
The Aussie will play the Roisin Dubh, Galway (October 9); CrawDaddy, Dublin (10); Cyprus Avenue, Cork (13); Spirit Store, Dundalk (15); The Stables, Mullingar (16); and Black Box, Belfast (17). Support will be provided by Mark Corcoran.
To whet appetites, all of Savage's Bad Seedless output – Soon Will Be Tomorrow, Nothing Broken, Wrong Man’s Hands, Rare Songs & Performances and Quickie For Ducky – are being made available for the first time in Ireland on September 26 through Road Records, Tower, Backbeat, Plugd, BPM and Zhivago.
Having previously recorded there last year, Savage will be returning to Dundalk’s Tumbleweed Studios to apply the finishing touches to a new solo album, which is due for spring 2009 release.
We’ll be having a cosy chat with the Australian in a forthcoming issue.
