Louis Walsh is one of the star signings as Bubble Hits today rolls out its dedicated Irish service, which will be available to digital viewers throughout the country.
“This show is going to be great,” Louis enthuses. “Every week we’ll work with the team at Bubble Hits selecting songs I like for my show. It’ll be the place to see who’s going to be the next big thing. It’s about time Ireland got it’s own music channel – and its great to be part of it. Bubble Hits has a proven track record in the UK and Europe. It’s a music channel that plays music, and not those boring reality shows. It’s just music TV, the right way. At last we’ll have Irish music by Irish bands on an Irish channel.”
It’s not just the pop masses that’ll be catered for with Bubble Hits Ireland promising a presence at all the major summer festivals including Oxegen, Electric Picnic, Cois Fharraige and Live At The Marquee.
“We can’t wait to give Irish bands a platform to showcase their music,” says Bubble Hits M.D. James Hyland. “Up until now, there has been no reason for upcoming bands to produce a music video. Now they’ll be able to reach a bigger audience and have an excuse to make great videos. Bubble Hits already has a huge viewership in Ireland, it can only get bigger”.
Asked to name some of the Irish acts who can expect Bubble Hits’ support, Hyland mentions Fionn Regan, Republic Of Loose, The Blizzards and Bell X1.
Operating from studios in Ashbourne, County Meath, their other Irish VJs are model Glenda Gilson and Liam McKenna who was formerly part of boy/girl group Six.
