Beth Rowley for Crawdaddy

Born in Lima, Peru but living in rather less exotic Bristol, the 26-year-old signed a megabuck deal last year with Universal, which bears fruit next month with the release of Little Dreamer.

More Ella than Dusty, she's recorded and toured in the past with the likes of Carleen Anderson, Enrique Iglesias and, er, Ronan Keating.
