“We went to Wolfgang Flür’s DJ gig last year in the Dublin Tivoli, and gave him some rough demos which has lead to him agreeing to be on one of the tracks from our new album, Audio Gothic,” Aidan Casserly reveals.
Although relatively low profile here, Casserly and bandmates Séan Barron and Lar Kiernan have recorded six albums for American independent Ninthwave Records whose roster also includes Heaven 17 and Whitetown.
“We’ve done original music for a Sony PlayStation advert and Brian O’Malley’s award-winning 2004 film, Screwback, so word has been getting out there,” Aidan continues. “There’s interest from a couple of German labels on the back of Wolfgang’s involvement, and we’d love to get something arranged for here as well.”
Due for release in the autumn, much of Audio Gothic will be aired on April 5 when Empire State Human open for The Grid in the Radio City, Dublin.
