'Text ticket' service launched
A new service that supplies 'paperless' email and SMS event tickets has just been launched in Ireland.
Ticket Text already provides tickets to many sporting and cultural events in the UK and has now launched an Irish version of its service.
Events now on sale from www.ticket-text.com include IamX on March 28 at The Village, Noise Control on March 29 at Crawdaddy, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings on April 10 at the Button Factory, The Go! Team (DJ Set) on April 18 at the Sugar Club, plus the Lovebox Weekender at Malahide Castle and Punchestown National Hunt Festival, on sale soon.
Using Ticket Text’s mobile technology, customers can receive their tickets for these events as unique barcodes sent via text message straight to their mobile phone. The customer then simply takes their phone to the venue and scans the barcode to gain admittance.
Th technology keeps booking fees down by eliminating the need for paper tickets and their associated postage and packing costs.
