Damon & Naomi for Dublin
Galaxie 500 survivors Damon & Naomi have confirmed a June 25 visit to Whelan’s, Dublin.
Tickets go on sale at 8pm on Wednesday February 20 priced €16.
The Boston, Massachusetts dream pop duo will be plugging 2007’s Within These Walls album, which has been doing particularly brisk business in Japan.
Also newly confirmed at the Wexford Street venue are Adrian Crowley (March 5 & 12); The Radio (6); The Harvest Ministers (7); and Antony Hegarty’s mate Baby Dee (22).
The Ministers will be using the occasion to launch a new five-tracker, Love Will Call On You, which is a timely reminder of just how ace a songwriter mainman Will Merriman is. Recorded in New York, it’s the curtain raiser for the band’s fifth album, which is due in September.
