Dublin folkie Thomas Kitt has announced a live date to mark the release of his debut album.

Kit will introduce the Kitt Happens record to fans with a show in Whelan's, Dublin on February 8.

The singer-songwriter has in the past been compared to Guy Clark and folk-era Bob Dylan and cites Townes Van Zandt, Johnny Cash and George Jones among his major influences.
