Will you be the Hot Press Guitar Hero?

In its two years of existence to date, Songs Of Praise has become an iconic night out - a place where the genuinely talented and the truly freaky can release their inner rock star and exorcise their demons.

Winners of each heat will receive an Xbox package worth over €1,000 including an Xbox 360 console, the Guitar Hero III title and other selected games. The over all winner will receive a customised Gibson electric guitar worth over €2,000.

The host each night will be Barbra McCarthy of RTE’s “Highly Recommended”, who will direct proceedings from the altar! She will also be presiding over sessions of the air guitar game, Guitar Hero III both on the stage and in dedicated gaming zones through out the venue. Hot Press will be crowning the Hot Press Guitar Hero for the best air guitar performance of the competition!

And in between the Karaoke bouts DJ Sinead Ni Mhordha from Phantom 105.2 will be providing songs of faith and devotion to keep the dance floor rocking.

November 27 - NUI Maynooth student bar (heat)
November 28 - DCU student bar (heat)
November 29 - UCD student bar (heat)
December 2 - The Village, Dublin (heat)
December 4 - Odeon, Dublin (heat for DIT)
December 5 - Radio City (heat for TCD)
December 6 - The Button Factory, Dublin (GRAND FINAL)
