Hotpress reveal track-listing for Dickie Rock's contemporary covers album
Hotpress can now reveal the full line-up of contemporary Irish classics that showband king Dickie Rock is covering on his eponymous new album.
Ones that immediately leap out of the tack-listing are U2’s ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’, Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’, The Pogues’ ‘Rainy Night In Soho’ and The Divine Comedy’s grand-opus, ‘An English Lady Of A Certain Age’.
Also in for a thorough Rocking are Van Morrison’s ‘Moondance’, The Frank & Walters’ ‘After All’, Paul Brady’s ‘Nobody Knows’, Gilbert O’Sullivan’s ‘Alone Again (Naturally)’, Thin Lizzy’s ‘Still In Love With You’, The Stunning’s ‘Half Past Two’, The 4 Of Us’ ‘Sunlight’ and Bagatelle’s ‘Summer In Dublin’.
Produced by Corrs and Tara Blaise man Billy Farrell, it hits the racks on September 28 and will be accompanied by an extensive nationwide tour that includes an October 2 show in Vicar St.
Add in the imminent arrival of his Always Me autobiography, and there could be a whole new generation of Irish people demanding to be spat on.
