Super Furry Animals add extra Irish date
Welsh wizards Super Furry Animals have revealed details of a concert in Cork.
Following their gob-smacking performance at Lovebox at Malahide Castle, the band announced a Dublin and Belfast concert, to which they're now adding a date at the Savoy, Cork, on 15 October.
The band are currently preparing to release new album Hey Venus! on August 24.
It's a concept album of sorts, "following a young woman called Venus moving from a small town to a big metropolis and following her adventures”, as lead singer Gruff Rhys explains.
A preview will be available in the form of single 'Show Your Hand', out on Friday.
Tickets for the Cork show are €30 from Tickets.ie, Pluggd records or Fred Zeppelin's.
Also adding an extra Irish date are The National. After moving from The Village to The Olympia on November 1, the Ohio band have added a show at the Ambassador, Dublin, playing on October 30 too.
