Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova to soundtrack new film
Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova score another coup by supplying the theme for the new Bob Dylan inspired film, I’m Not There.
Directed by Velvet Goldmine and Far From Heaven man Todd Haynes, the biopic finds The Big Zim portrayed at different stages in his career by Marcus Carl Franklin, Ben Whishaw, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Richard Gere and – no, we didn’t realise he had a cross-dressing phase either – Cate Blanchett.
Due to premiere Stateside in November, the soundtrack also features Roger McGuinn, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Calexico, My Morning Jacket, Sufjan Stevens and Willie Nelson.
As previously reported in Hot Press, Glen and The Frames take care of support duties between August 8 and 23 when Dylan tours New Zealand and Australia.
