Gallery Number One strikes Irish deal
Dublin’s Gallery Number One has been confirmed as the exclusive Irish partner of Proud, the London gallery that’s renowned for its music photography.
The Dublin Gallery has struck a deal with Proud in London, which will allow it to show collections from the UK gallery in additon to its own exhibits.
Running for 10 years in the UK, Proud gallery has attracted over a million visitors with such exhibitions as The Official Bob Dylan Show, Jeff Buckley – A Wished For Song, Elvis & Marilyn, Icons Of The Seventies and Freddie Mercury – Lover Of Life, Singer Of Songs.
Gallery Number One, which is strategically located opposite Burdock’s chipper in Dublin 2’s Castle Street, has already dipped its toe in rock ‘n’ roll waters with its exhibition of images from The Frames’ photo-book Beyond The Glass, and was where hotpress recently held a beano for Declan Lynch’s novel, The Rooms.
They’ve also confirmed well-known club DJ Alexandra Donald as their new manager, with (01) 478 9090 the number for enquiries.
