This year RTE Radio will double its coverage of the Oxegen festival with live broadcasts on its new digital station, 2XM, as well as on 2FM.
The regular festival coverage provided by 2FM will this year be supplemented by new station 2XM, which is available on digital radio and via the web.
The two stations will broadcast live sets and interviews as part of their Oxegen coverage from Punchestown racecourse.
2XM operates ad-free and cuts out DJs to broadcast uninterrupted live music and interviews.
This year RTE promises to bring over 50 hours of coverage, including live radio and webcasting. 2FM will record live music from four of Oxegen’s six stages.
You can listen to 2FM Live@Oxegen on the radio or the web on Saturday July 7 from 3pm-2am and on Sunday, July 8 from 2pm-2am.
To listen to 2XM you need a digital radio, or you can hear it online at www.rte.ie/digitalradio/2xm.html. 2XM will have Oxegen coverage on Saturday from 3pm-midnight and Sunday from 2pm-midnight.
