Belfast's top venues change hands
Several of Belfast's top music venues have been sold by MCD's Eamonn McCann.
It’s all change on the Belfast live music scene, with Eamonn McCann – head of Wonderland Promotions and the ‘MC’ in MCD – selling his stake in The Limelight, Spring & Airbrake, Katy Daly’s and Auntie Annie’s.
The four venues, which between them have hosted such major acts as Oasis, The Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys and Joe Strummer, have been bought by a consortium comprising their current manager, David Neely, and local businessmen Collin Wasson and Ciaran Smyth.
