Damien Dempsey announces support act
Damien Dempsey's announced a pal and former collaborator as the opener for his June tour.
The honours will go to former Nomos singer Eoin Coughlan, who's recently followed a long line of Irish artists lending thier talents to film soundtracks with both 'Blue' and 'Then I'll Go To Sleep' featured in Speed Dating.
Both tracks are taken from his debut solo album Blood In Vein which features Mr Dempsey vocalling on lead track 'Cutting Down Laws'.
The pair will reunite when they play the following dates:
Fri June 1 - Vicar St., Dublin
Wed 6 - Cyprus Ave., Cork
Thu 7 - Dolan's, Limerick
Fri 8 - Roisin Dubh, Galway
Sat June 9 - TBC Carlow
Eoin also has a few dates lined up of his own accord - catch him with Declan O'Rourke at Limerick Dolan's (upstairs) (Fri 15); with The Frank & Walters at the Spiegeltent, Cork (Fri 22); Roscrea Castle Grounds (Sat Jul 1) and Limerick Dolan's (Sat Aug 25).
