Snow Patrol top UK sales chart
It's official: Snow Patrol are the biggest band in the UK.
The Northern Irish foursome fended off competition from The Kooks (Inside In/Inside Out) and the Arctic Monkeys (Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not) to top the album sales chart with Eyes Open.
Released in May 2006, the record has spawned over one million sales and three singles - 'You Are All That I Have', 'Chasing Cars' and 'Set The Fire To The Third Bar'.
The highest selling international acts were The Killers with Sam's Town and the Scissor Sisters with Ta-Dah.
